Crkva Svetih apostola Petra i Pavla

Crkva Svetih Petra i Pavla nalazi se na Staroj Planini kod sela Rsovci u pećini brda Kalik. Ova neverovatna građevina je podignuta u 13. veku. Iako je smeštena u samoj pećini, nije to ono po čemu je ova crkva jedinstvena u svetu. Tamo je oslikana freska “Ćelavog Isusa“ known as the Infant Jesus. Archaeological research shows that the fresco was painted in the second half of the 13th century. Pretpostavlja se da su fresku oslikali isposnici sa Sinaja koji su povremeno putovali u Srbiju. This church is classified as a historical rarity and a cultural asset. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul, also known as the Cave Church, measures 7x8m and is located only 10m above the river Visočica. The entire iconostasis is made of wooden beams. What gives this church an additional charm is the beautiful nature in which it is located, which this area has in abundance.

Previously, the road was very inaccessible and it was difficult to reach the church. Recently, the path to the church has been renovated by the World Tourism Agency, so now you can easily to visit this unusual church.
